Seasonal design

A property that looks intentional in every month

Seasonal work should not mean starting over four times a year. We build permanent structure once, then change only the layer that needs to change.

What each season asks for

Zone 8 runs on a different clock than the national advice you will read online.

March – May

Spring

Cut back, feed, and plant

Prune summer bloomers before growth breaks, top-dress beds with compost, and get warm-season annuals in before the first sustained 90-degree stretch.

June – August

Summer

Protect and maintain

Deep, infrequent watering beats daily sprinkling on clay. Watch for fungal pressure in humidity, and hold off on heavy pruning until the heat breaks.

September – November

Fall

The real planting season

Fall is the best time to plant in Georgia — roots establish in warm soil without heat stress. This is when we install shrubs, perennials, and spring bulbs.

December – February

Winter

Structure and planning

With the leaves down, the bones of the garden show. We prune, edge, refresh mulch, and design next year's beds while the plan is easy to see.

The program

Four installs a year, one plan

  • Permanent evergreen anchors that stay in place all year.
  • A seasonal layer swapped four times, sized to your entry and porch.
  • Bulb and annual planning mapped a season ahead.
  • Written care notes between visits so nothing drifts.
